Presentation Skills I

Presenting a Proposal or New Project

Also called a persuasive presentation, the goal of these presentations or meetings are to make clients accept and agree with a presenter’s proposal. The language used is always strong and persuasive with a focus of showing supporting facts, and advantages to reinforce credibility. These presentations can often be highly emotional as it is a technique used to gather support and approval. These presentations are usually structured in the same way where the problem or challenge is presented first, followed by the solutions and all the supporting evidence, and finally a strong conclusion requesting the listener to take action. This workshop will be relevant for signing on new clients, and/or presenting a plan for a specific project.

These presentations are best used to describe facts and information about the organization, team, services, competitive advantages and any other information. They are used to break information down in an easy to understand way. This workshop will be most relevant for introductory meetings with clients and partners, meetings with government agencies, and other employees.

Participants will work on creating individual and group presentations where they will be guided towards presentations that capture the attention of their audience. Whether they interact face to face, over the telephone, our in large presentations, the use of effective body language has never been as important.
